How safety works in
CON Quest.

Meeting people at conventions should feel exciting, not confusing or unsafe. We built simple controls into the places where people talk, make plans, and choose whether to share their location.

Adults only

CON Quest is for people age 18 and older. Everyone confirms their age before creating a profile or using community features.

Email verification is also required. This gives every account a verified way to sign in and recover access.

You control who can reach you

A friend request comes before a direct message. You can block a person, remove a connection, or report an account when something does not feel right.

Tea Room posts can use an anonymous display name, but the account behind the post is still connected to it. Anonymous does not mean free from responsibility.

Fake ages, impersonation, and repeated attempts to avoid a block can lead to an account being restricted or removed.

Safety tools are easy to find

The controls are placed where you need them, so you do not have to search through settings when there is a problem.

• Friend requests before direct messages
• Block and unblock controls on profiles
• Reports for users, messages, meetups, and Tea Room posts
• ConClan controls for group owners
• Public rules and policies inside the app and on this website

Reports involving harassment, stalking, unwanted photos, threats, or unsafe behavior are reviewed. Serious or repeated violations can lead to a ban.

Respect people at the con

The people you meet through the app are real people who may be standing a few feet away from you. Ask before taking a photo. Respect a no. Do not pressure someone to meet, talk, or share their location.

If something feels wrong, leave the situation, block the account, and send a report. Your safety matters more than keeping a conversation going.

We will keep improving these tools as the community grows. We also want people to tell us when a rule is unclear or a safety control is hard to use.
